Target Enrichment
Modern genomics applications require researchers to apply next-gen sequencing not only to whole genomes, but also to selected subsets of genes and other chosen regions of interest. Purifying or otherwise enriching a subset of the genome for sequencing studies is often called genome partitioning. NCGR offers Agilent SureSelect (which uses RNA oligonucleotides to capture cognate sequences in a genomic sample by hybridization). NCGR offers a comprehensive service, from evaluating which partitioning method best suits a customer application, assistance with design of the enrichment, partitioning, and sequencing. Reports are provided showing the efficiency of partitioning and summarizing sequence variation found in the sequenced DNA.
